The Swearingen Merlin IIIC is a twin-turboprop business aircraft, part of the Swearingen Merlin family produced by Swearingen Aircraft and later by Fairchild Aerospace. Typically configured for 8 passengers in an executive layout or 9 in a high-density layout. It usually includes a small aft lavatory and galley/refreshment center. The IIIC features various upgrades over the Merlin IIIB such as improved engines, four-blade propellers, and clamshell engine cowlings for easier maintenance. The IIIC was certified in 1981 and production ended in 1983, with 113 aircraft built.
