The Piper Turbo Dakota, specifically the PA-28-201T, is a turbocharged variant of the Piper Dakota, a popular four-seat, single-engine aircraft. It was introduced in 1979 and briefly produced before being discontinued due to low sales. The Turbo Dakota is known for its ability to operate effectively at higher altitudes due to its turbocharged engine. Only 91 Piper Turbo Dakota aircraft were manufactured. It was produced for just one year, 1979, with some being sold as 1980 models. The Turbo Dakota was not well-received by the market and was ultimately discontinued.
