North American T-28 Trojan

The North American T-28 Trojan is a single-engine military trainer aircraft used by the United States Air Force and United States Navy beginning in the 1950s. It was designed to replace the T-6 Texan and serve as a transition trainer for pilots moving into jet aircraft. A total of 1,948 North American T-28 Trojans were built. Production took place between 1950 and 1957. The aircraft was used by the U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps as a primary trainer and later as a counter-insurgency aircraft.
