Sikorsky S-58T

The Sikorsky S-58T is a twin-engine turbine helicopter, a conversion of the earlier piston-engine S-58. It was developed by Sikorsky in 1970 to enhance the S-58's performance, particularly at higher temperatures and altitudes. The S-58T was developed in the early 1970s from the piston-engine S-58 by replacing its original engine with the PT6T Twin-Pac. FAA certification was granted in April 1971. The type certificate and manufacturing rights were later sold to California Helicopter International in 1981. 150 Sikorsky S-58T helicopters were built.
