The McDonnell Douglas DC-10 was an iconic, three-engine widebody workhorse for FedEx Express, serving as a cornerstone of its global logistics fleet for over 40 years before its official retirement on December 31, 2022. FedEx operated a total of 95 McDonnell Douglas DC-10 and upgraded MD-10 aircraft over the years. This fleet consisted of 31 standard DC-10s (25 DC-10-10F and 6 DC-10-30F) and 64 upgraded MD-10-10F freighters.
