Curtiss P-36 Hawk

The Curtiss P-36 Hawk (also known as the Curtiss Hawk Model 75) was a foundational American all-metal, monoplane fighter aircraft. Introduced in 1938 by the Curtiss-Wright Corporation, it bridged the gap between interwar biplanes and the advanced fighters of World War II. Though quickly outclassed by newer technology and largely relegated to second-line duties by the United States, it achieved immense operational success internationally and served as the direct design predecessor to the famous Curtiss P-40 Warhawk.
