The Beechcraft Model 77 Skipper is a two-seat, low-wing, fixed tricycle gear general aviation airplane designed primarily for flight training, touring, and personal flying. Conceived in 1973 to compete directly with the Cessna 152 and Piper Tomahawk, it entered production late in the primary trainer market, running from 1979 through 1981. Due to an economic recession and a massive downturn in general aviation, only 312 Skippers were built, making it a rare find today compared to its rivals.
