The Piper PA-28R-200 Arrow II is a four-seat, single-engine, complex aircraft featuring retractable landing gear and a constant-speed propeller. Introduced by Piper Aircraft in 1972, it served as a major upgrade to the original Arrow. The defining upgrade of the Arrow II is a 5-inch fuselage stretch that drastically improves rear-seat passenger legroom. It also introduced a widened stabilator and longer wings, making it a staple for commercial pilot training and affordable cross-country personal travel. Piper manufactured 1,664 units of the PA-28R-200 Arrow II and its immediate 200-hp predecessor (the original, non-stretched Arrow 200) between late 1969 and 1976.
