Hooters Air was a real, short-lived commercial airline owned by the Hooters restaurant chain that operated from March 6, 2003, until April 17, 2006. Headquartered in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the airline was created by Hooters chairman Robert Brooks as a "flying billboard" to increase brand awareness and transport golf vacationers to the region. Hooters Air operated a total of six Boeing 737 aircraft during its time in service: two Boeing 737-200s and four Boeing 737-300s. The airline's entire fleet consisted of seven total planes, which also included a single larger Boeing 757-200.
