The de Havilland DH.89A Dragon Rapide is a legendary 1930s British short-haul passenger biplane. Designed by Geoffrey de Havilland, it became one of the most successful commercial airliners of its era due to its economy, reliability, and Art Deco styling. A total of 727 to 731 de Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide and its military variants (the Dominie) were built between 1934 and 1946. This production total includes both civilian passenger aircraft and the military radio/navigation trainers.
