The Dassault-Breguet Atlantique 2 (ATL2) is a long-range, twin-engine turboprop maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) operated exclusively by the French Navy (Marine Nationale). Evolving from the 1960s Breguet Br.1150 Atlantic, the ATL2 is engineered specifically for naval operations. This sets it apart from competitors that rely on modified civilian airliners. A total of 28 Dassault-Breguet Atlantique 2 (ATL2) maritime patrol aircraft were built. All 28 of these aircraft were built exclusively for the French Navy. This production run was part of a larger Atlantic series, which included 87 of the earlier first-generation Atlantic models, bringing the total production for the entire Atlantic family to 115 aircraft.
