The Northrop T-38 Talon is the world’s first supersonic jet trainer and has served as the primary advanced pilot training aircraft for the United States Air Force (USAF) since 1961. Developed by the Northrop Corporation, the twin-engine, two-seat aircraft is affectionately nicknamed the "White Rocket". The USAF Thunderbirds operated the Northrop T-38 Talon as their primary demonstration aircraft from 1974 to 1982.
